Deerfield Beach Chamber of Commerce
Amid the hustle and bustle of urban activities, Deerfield Beach remains a delightful respite with a distinction all its own. Known for its serene beach, Deerfield Beach is the pride of Broward County with a diverse population of 77,000 and over 5,500 businesses. We have the lowest crime rate for a city our size, we do not have a utility tax and we have an agressive City Manager and Commission that seek special grant funding and financial opportunities to keep our tax base as low as possible.
The Deerfield Beach Chamber of Commerce is a business organization with over 600 members. Our mission is to foster an environment that creates employment, encourages tourism, enhances growth and improves the overall quality of life for our business community and residents. We accomplish this mission each year by increasing membership, offering a more comprehensive and professional service to our tourist and working with the City to bring new business and develeopment to the area. As a result of these efforts our City is prospering and becoming a premiere coastal community. This, however is only part of what makes our community great.
The special ingredient is the people that reside in our City and the service to our community so many of our residents perform. It is about the many non-profit and civic organizations that reach out to those in need and the many volunteers who offer their time and talent. It is about ethnically diverse neighbors celebrating together at Founders Days, Martin Luther King Day, and the Mango Festival. A successful community is not just about concrete and finances, but the "faces" that make up the community. As Executive Director of the Deerfield Beach Chamber of Commerce I am proud to be a part of all these special people that make our City the best place in which to work, live and play.
